my own pictures from my first LP concert.

The crowd was already buzzing with anticipation during the pre-show soundcheck, and a Music for Relief campaign video played on the screen.

Then as the guys came out one by one, the crowd’s cheering crescendoed. Mike, Dave, Chester, Brad, Rob, and Joe.

I’ll never forgot how they opened with A Place for my Head with such energy; Chester’s animal growls rolling from the stage amps, Phoenix furiously stomping his heel to keep time, Mike spitting out classic verses, Brad nodding his head and swaying slightly to Rob’s frantic beats, and Joe pumping his arms in the air, his already sweat-ladened hair slicked back into a short ponytail.

This experience was absolutely unforgettable and I can’t wait for August 19th to see them at Jones Beach, and the 21st for the LPU Summit.

"Get the fuck outta my concert with that black magic"

"I don’t give a shit if it’s not cool right now or if it’s not something that people will buy. This album is the worst business decision that this band has ever made, and I’m fine with that. I’m happy with that."
